What Is a Flexible LED Module?
A flexible LED module uses a bendable PCB and flexible backing so it can be mounted on curved or shaped structures. Unlike a standard rigid LED module, it can follow columns, arcs and curved walls when installed on a suitable frame.
The final screen design still depends on pixel pitch, module size, bending direction, curve radius, power and data connections, cabinet structure and maintenance access.
When Is It the Right Choice?
- The screen needs to follow a column, arc or curved wall.
- A standard flat LED module cannot fit the required surface.
- Front magnetic installation is needed for easier maintenance.
- The project requires a specific curve or custom screen shape.
How the Flexible LED Module Follows a Curve
The module bends with the mounting structure, while the support frame sets the final curve and keeps each module in position.
01 Flexible PCB
The flexible PCB carries the LEDs, driver ICs and signal connections while allowing the module to bend along the required curve.
02 Flexible Module Base
The flexible base supports the PCB and helps the module fit the curved cabinet or mounting frame.
03 Magnetic Mounting
Magnetic mounting allows the module to be installed and removed from the front when the cabinet is designed for front service.
04 Curved Support Frame
The support frame sets the curve and provides the mounting surface for the modules. Its dimensions should match the required screen shape and module layout.
Design note: Flexible LED modules are designed to bend within a specified radius, not to be folded freely. Check the bending direction, minimum radius and support structure before production.

How to Choose the Right Flexible LED Module
Before choosing a flexible LED module, check the viewing distance, curve, installation environment, cabinet layout, service access and content requirements.
1. Viewing Distance
Use a smaller pixel pitch for close viewing or detailed content. Larger pitches are usually suitable for bigger screens viewed from farther away.
2. Curve Direction and Radius
Confirm whether the screen curves inward, outward or around a column. Provide the target radius or drawing so the module and support frame can be matched.
3. Indoor or Outdoor Use
For outdoor use, check the required brightness and weather protection for the module, cabinet, connectors and cable entries.
4. Module and Cabinet Layout
Check the module size, resolution, mounting points, connectors and scan mode against the cabinet design and final screen resolution.
5. Service Access
Make sure the modules, power supplies and receiving cards can be reached after installation. Tight curves and column screens often require front service.
6. Content and Camera Use
Confirm the main content, frame rate and whether the screen will be filmed. These factors affect refresh rate, grayscale and control settings.

1. Can a flexible LED module be made into any shape?
No. A flexible LED module can bend only within its designed range. The final shape depends on the module size, bending direction, minimum radius and support frame.
2. What is the difference between an inner and an outer curve?
An inner curve bends inward to form a concave surface, while an outer curve bends outward to form a convex surface. Not every module supports both directions, so the curve direction and radius need to be checked first.
3. Which pixel pitch should I choose?
Choose the pixel pitch based on viewing distance, screen size, content and budget. Smaller pitches are better for close viewing and detailed content, while larger pitches are more suitable for bigger screens viewed from farther away.
4. Can flexible LED modules be used outdoors?
Yes, if the module is designed for outdoor use. Brightness, cabinet protection, connectors, power connections and cable entries also need to suit the installation environment.
5. Can I use a different flexible module as a replacement?
Not always. The replacement module needs to match the original size, pixel pitch, resolution, voltage, scan mode, driver IC, connectors, mounting layout and bending direction. LED batch and calibration should also be checked to reduce visible color differences.
6. What information do you need for a quote?
